How to Prepare a Driveway or Sidewalk for Cleaning

Ten minutes of preparation makes a noticeable difference to the finished result.

None of this is complicated, but each item removes something that would otherwise slow the crew down or leave an area uncleaned.

Clear the surface

Move vehicles, trailers, planters, and anything stored on the slab. Areas that stay covered cannot be cleaned, and a planter left in place leaves an obvious outline.

Sweep or remove loose debris and take down anything hanging over the working area.

Protect and close up

Close windows and doors along the work area. Move door mats, and let us know about any exterior outlets, lighting, or irrigation controls near the slab.

Tell us the details

Gate codes, pets in the yard, water spigot locations, and any surface you would prefer we avoid. Also mention anything previously repaired or coated, since that changes the method we use.
